I met GloZell |
First of all, I want to apologize that this post is so late.. I just haven't gotten around to posting it! Sorry everyone!
I went to New York City recently and it was indeed the best day of my life so far and it was in fact needed. It was the best day that I've had in a long time. I expected it to be fun, but I didn't expect to have as much fin as I did. I'm so glad I went because it was the best experience of my life. It was just strange the way that I felt so alive and happy in the city. It was breath taking, the people, the experience I felt just like I was at home, but it's not my home. It was just so strange to feel the way I did, but it just happened. I was so overwhelmed by the amount of people, and I know that New York is a big city so I expected it. I didn't expect for everyone there to be somewhat kind, I didn't have a horrible experience with any one I ran into in the city. I expected there to be some rude people but there wasn't and I was actually quite surprised. So let's get into the details of the whole trip now.
First, my mom and I had gone on the bus and we were taken to the city. The trip was pretty boring for the most part but once we started getting closer to the city I got really excited, I could see the New York skyline, all the tall buildings. We had to drive to where we were getting dropped off and it was pretty much really close to times square. I got off the bus and I was super excited to go explore the city and the best part was we got to start off the day with seeing one of my favorite places ever. Radio City Music Hall, we walked passed it and of course I took some pictures of it. It was pretty amazing, I want to perform in there some day, there and Madison Square Garden. We didn't go into Radio City or anything, I wish we could've but we couldn't.
After we were done with Radio City, both my mom and I wanted to go see the American Museum of Natural History. I'm a big fan of the Night at The Museum movies so I thought it would be cool to see the museum they used to film on the outside in person. We had no clue where we were supposed to go and so some guy trying to sell bike tours gave us a map and told us where to go. We had followed his directions and he got us completely lost. After a while my mom and I figured out where we were supposed to go and we walked and walked and walked. We saw some pretty cool things on the way though. I saw a lot of The Great Gatsby movie signs so I took pictures of them, we saw the Trump towers and hotel building or something like that, and also where they film The Late Show with David Letterman. It was a peaceful walk and my mom and I just talked on our way there. The museum pretty much follows Central Park so once me and my mom reached the entrance to Central Park we started to walk through it. We ended back up on the streets though and kept walking until we reached the museum. All we really did was walked through it and I took some pictures of things that were pretty interesting. We had looked at everything that we needed to so we just left and decided to go get something to eat.
I really wanted to go to Ellen's Stardust Diner because my friend had told me about it, so that is where we ended up eating. We had an amazing waitress she was so nice and sweet and such a good singer, There was also a very very and I repeat VERY attractive French waiter there and he could sing so to me that made him even more attractive. I really had no clue what to order because everything there looked so good. I just decided to go with the Frank Sinatra Pizza Burger, because you can't go wrong with Sinatra right? It was actually pretty good. We got ready to leave and I had given the waitress by business card that has my YouTube and all that good stuff on it. She said she would check it out so that's pretty cool. We had gotten ready to leave and we just decided to walk and go wherever we wanted.
It was pretty epic and we saw so many things. If you want to see all the places I went then watch my
vlog on my channel. We had seen a lot of street performers and artists selling their work. It was amazing and it just felt good. I even met GloZell, which was awesome! Being the shy girl that I am I never thought in a million years that I would just walk up to someone like I did. I truly didn't have a care in the world, I walked right up to her and asked for a picture and even gave her my business card. It was truly the best day ever. I really can't explain how much I enjoyed everything and I much I long to go back. It was a great day and something I will never ever forget.
Yours Truly,
Kristina Rene'
